GLACIER WALKS

Less than an hour drive from Hekla Cottage, explore the incredible Sólheimajökull Glacier on a ravishing glacier walking tour, right off Iceland's beautiful South Coast. That’ll be a hiking adventure you'll never forget!

 

WATERFALLS
​

Continuing your way up north or along the South Coast, less than an hour from the cottage, you will find spectacular waterfalls, with incredible hikes.

SALMON FISHING​
​

The cottage is on the bank of the biggest salmon river of Iceland.

From mid June to early October, you can book a day trip with a guide to fish salmons in the river. The lodge to start the day trip is close to Hella, 20 minutes away from the cottage.
